The three-story, 235,000 square-foot facility will have the largest number of BCBS of Georgia employees in the entire state, according to WVTM.com. While the facility currently houses 750 employees, BCBS hopes to have nearly 2,000 employees in the facility by 2017.

Construction took just over one year to complete.

The facility will serve as a prototype for future offices of Anthem, BCBS’ parent company.
