BCBS error to unenroll 14,000 Tennessee seniors from coverage

An “internal error” is requiring nearly 14,000 BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Medicare Advantage members to reenroll in coverage or else lose their insurance, WBIR reported Nov. 11.

“This issue was the result of internal error, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure it doesn’t happen again,” a BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee spokesperson told WBIR

The company notified affected BlueAdvantage Sapphire plan members Oct. 30 and plans to host in-person sessions to help affected seniors reenroll in coverage.
