By using algorithms and statistical models, the partnership aims to create 1.5 to two petabytes of synthetic data that includes medical histories and claims. The central goal is to then validate and train AI algorithms to process large quantities of that data and reduce privacy issues around it.
“More and more … synthetic data is going to overtake and be the way people do AI in the future,” Mr. Bhatt told the Journal.
Anthem started using Google Cloud’s data analytics and AI offerings last year to help the company focus on the complete history of its members’ healthcare.
