Anthem, Managed Health Services of Indiana and MDwise score Indiana Medicaid contract

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration has announced Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Managed Health Services of Indiana and MDwise have won the contracts to provide coordinated healthcare services to approximately 84,000 Medicaid enrollees beginning next year.

The managed-care companies will provide services to Medicaid enrollees who will qualify for Hoosier Care Connect, which includes enrollees who are age 65 and older as well as children and adults with blindness or disability.

The goals of Hoosier Care Connect are to improve quality of care, access to care and care coordination for enrolled members.

The targeted rollout date for Hoosier Care Connect is April 1, 2015.
