Anthem President and CEO Joseph Swedish wrote in bold print the “transaction may have lost the battle of a flawed federal regulatory review, but Anthem is fully committed to winning the war to expand access to high-quality, affordable healthcare for consumers.”

The ad was printed at the end of the newspaper’s A-section and appeared under the heading “The Anthem-Cigna combination is good for consumers and should be allowed to proceed.”
