1. Humana adds 10 Iora primary care practices to value-based network
Humana and Iora Health, a Boston-based network of primary care clinics, expanded their valued-based contract a fifth year, the companies said Sept. 12.
2. Mayo Clinic to launch health plans with Minnesota insurer
Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic is creating health insurance products to network with providers nationwide, the health system said Sept. 13.
3. Montefiore Health, Aetna sign multiyear agreement
Bronx, N.Y.-based Montefiore Health System agreed to a multiyear agreement with Aetna, an Aetna spokesperson confirmed with Becker's Hospital Review.
4. BCBS of Tennessee resolves dispute with 520-member anesthesiologist, physician group
Nashville, Tenn.-based Anesthesia Medical Group, which comprises about 120 physicians and 400 anesthesiologists, reached an agreement with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, AMG told Becker's Hospital Review in an Aug. 29 news release.
5. Tenet's Baptist Health System, Mutual of Omaha, Lumeris link up for Medicare Advantage plan
San Antonio-based Baptist Health System, a part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, will lead care delivery for a health plan operated by Mutual of Omaha and Lumeris in San Antonio.
6. UChicago, Humana strike value-based care partnership
The University of Chicago Medicine and Humana inked a value-based care deal to better coordinate care for Humana members in the Chicagoland area.
7. UMMC, BCBS reach deal after state official calls for mediation
Jackson-based University of Mississippi Medical Center and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi reached an agreement to keep all UMMC facilities and providers in network with the health insurer.
8. Sharp, Providence Health, MemorialCare collaborate with Aetna for regional health plan
Three Southern California health systems — San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare, Mountain Valley-based MemorialCare and Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health and Services' Los Angeles County facilities — introduced a regional health plan with Aetna Aug. 13.
