Community Health Plan of Washington has tapped Genevieve Caruncho-Simpson to serve as its first chief transformation and innovation officer.
Ms. Caruncho-Simpson recently served as CEO of UnitedHealthcare's Community Plan of Washington, according to a March 14 Community Health Plan of Washington news release.
In her new role, Ms. Caruncho-Simpson will work to strengthen the payer's work of advancing whole-person care and health equity as well as support growth across its plans, provider networks, service and benefits, according to the release.
Community Health Plan of Washington serves more than 300,000 beneficiaries who have Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and public-option individual and family health plans.
